Colette Pump 20 Window Display via Sneaker Obsession
It's been almost 20 years since Reebok's "new idea", and with their new anniversary collaborations, "The Pump" shoe has once again gotten some air under it.
Originally released as a basketball sneaker, Reebok's Pump was created to give the maximum support to a ballers ankles. This was done by allowing the owner to press a inflation device built into the tongue, causing air pockets in the shoe to expand around the foot.
Over the years, the appeal of the shoe became less about it's technology, and more about their distinctive look, which fuels the new "20 Pumps for 20 years" limited edition collaboration series. The collection is made up of 20 different Pump designs coming from 20 of the most popular sneaker outlets in the world, including stores from the U.S., Europe, and Asia.
The result is nothing less than stunning, with some of the models displaying creativity if nothing else, and others immediately ready for inclusion amongst the best sneakers ever created. These shoes will be sold in very limited numbers, ranging in the 20's and 30's, within the next couple of days.
