Here Pharrell shows that he's more than fly tees and kicks, in a classy ensemble that says "formal" but is actually quite relaxed...black velvet jacket, black fine-gauge sweater, crisp white shirt, along with a great white shirt and black slacks...The key to this outfit is the perfect fit, and of course the beautiful contrast of the purple polka dot tie...He makes it look so easy.

I received a great tip about Business Casual dressing from GQ via their "Sharp + Smart" e-newsletter:
Q: I hate business casual; I never know what to wear. Can you suggest three or four can't-miss wardrobe items to keep things simple?
A: One: Get a soft-shouldered cotton sports jacket. I buy them whenever I see them. They're pliable, comfy, and easy to pack. They do the job of a sweater but look dressier and have lots of pockets. Two: Cashmere sweaters, especially V-necks. Can't have enough of those, whether they're four figures from Hermès or two figures from Uniqlo. I actually once noticed a stylish Uniqlo salesman wearing two at the same time, in lime and in sea blue. A great look. Three: Good chinos or sporty flat-fronts are a must. Maybe my best casual pants are Helmut Lang from back when there was a Helmut Lang. Four: The button-down-collar oxford cloth shirt.

To add to that, when you buy these items, (as I always preach) please make sure that you watch the fit. A huge tent of a sweater could mean the difference between being the good looking guy in the office and the office slob...Here's some nice items to get you started on your hunt for stylish office apparel:

Polo Ralph Lauren 'Luxe' VNeck Sweater
$125.00 by Polo Ralph Lauren at Nordstrom

Dockers Pants, D3 Classic Fit Original Khaki Flat Front
$48.00 by Dockers at Macy's

Polo Ralph lauren Classic-Fit Regimental Oxford Sport Shirt
$79.50 by Polo Ralph Lauren at Lord & Taylor

The classic American design of the Penfield Stapleton has inspired the design of many other jackets, but just like any other iconic garment, there's nothing like the original...The Stapleton is usually sold in a Black, Brown, or Tan color, but Penfield has now released a limited edtion run of the Stapleton in Navy with yellow lining which is really nice. There will only be 50 of these sold, only on Penfield's online store, so you better act fast if you want one!
If you're looking for a bag that's just as rugged as the Red Wing boots you just bought, then this this bag by Filson fits the bill perfectly...they have been making tough outdoor gear for over 100 years, so you know you're gonna get your money's worth out of this one...

Filson Burgundy Plaid Wool Field Bag
$404.25 by Filson at My-Wardrobe.com
Red plaid wool field bag that fastens with 2 front leather buckles. Bag has 2 side pockets, a large rear pocket and 2 front bellow pockets with snap fastening. Also features a bridle leather carrying loop and a detachable leather strap with shoulder pad. 37cm x 32cm x 11cm.

FORTUNE's 2009 Watch Guide is not for the feint of heart or empty of wallet...(in case you were wondering, the watch above sells for about $25,000) But we can dream can't we?

From the ACRYLICK blog:
"Those familiar with Acrylick already know what we are about. Our mentality of expressing oneself truthfully, Spreading positive thought, preserving what is beautiful, using music as a tool for change; growth; and love is something we hold on to deeply. These aspects are all displayed in this season’s lineup of shirts. We continue, and will keep continuing to question the mind of others, in hopes of sparking positive change.
We evolved our cut and sew pieces this season. Compared to our last production, this season is on a next level. We always babied our cut and sew making sure it was right. This wasn’t just a project we wanted to go full force on unless it was ready. With final touches and adjustments and last minute changes, this season was finally ready for all of you. This Fall/Holiday season is something special. This is another stepping-stone, that allows us to only go to the next level."

I just took a look at HUF's fall 09 lookbook, and they have some nice basic pieces in there. No wild colors...no crazy patterns, just some nice dark heathers, blues, blacks and greys...very easy to wear, yet you can see the quality of the garments. Check it out here.

BTW, The HUF denim is a perfect example of what I was talking about above...they are all about fit, fabric, cut and small details such as the label...from the HUF blog:
"The denim is offered in both slim and regular fit. Ranging in various washes and finishes, which include raw indigo / rinsed indigo / raw black / rigid grey."
Made in the USA...How often do you hear that?
